Cactus Fruit Slushie at Barrios: My all time favorite cocktail in OKC. The pink one is sweet (discontinued until California has recovered from fires, according to a waitress) and the yellow one that they currently have is a little tangy. Both are fantastic! They come with sour gummy worms for garnish, which is so cute and very tasty.
PYT at the Jones Assembly: This is my favorite Jones cocktail because it gives me club special vibes. I love club specials, as you’ll see later on. It’s safe, but very delicious and refreshing. Better with Bubbles at Packard’s: I’ve talked about this wine flight before. You get three sparkling wines, which I believe are a pro secco and rosé, but I can’t remember all three. I highly recommend this for a fun night out with friends. It pairs so well with dessert!
Club Special at Vast: Club specials are a central Oklahoma thing. Apparently it was created at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. Essentially, it’s vodka, club soda and sweet and sour. Think of it as an alcoholic Sprite. It’s so delicious and refreshing!! Vast does a pretty good one. Rosé Mojito at Kitchen No. 324: Sine rosé is soooo popular right now, you have to try this fun twist on it. I love mojitos, so this is my go-to cocktail at Kitchen. I highly, highly recommend it and I think it’s one of the best cocktails in OKC. Oopsy Daisy at the Pritchard: So I obviously have a think for pink drinks. This drink is no exception! It’s got kind of a slushie consistency and a hint of strawberry. The name is cute, the look is cute, the taste is even cute! Frosé at The Jones Assembly: Again, with the fun take on rosé. People freaked out about this drink when it first came out. It’s slushie rosé with a bit of a smoothie consistency. You get a pretty good size portion of it, considering how small cocktails seem to be. If you go to The Jones Assembly once, you have to try the frosé because it’s THE drink at The Jones. Disco Nap at The Jones Assembly: This is one of the stronger tasting drinks at The Jones Assembly. It’s cute with the berry garnish, but it doesn’t beat the PYT for me! Swirl at Iguana Grill: I loooove me a Mont swirl (bar in Norman, OK), but I was very surprised at how much I liked Iguana’s! It’s sweeter than the Mont’s because it’s not as strong. It was perfectly frozen and didn’t melt super fast. Highly recommend!! Jones 75 at The Jones Assembly: This is one of those drinks that, to me, is over-priced for what it is. It’s a pretty spicy drink, which I don’t love. It’s definitely cute in the champagne glass, but again, I would go for the PYT. That’s my taste, but the reason I tried it was because a friend was raving about it. So, if you like a little kick in your drink you might love this! Club Special at Packard’s: To me, this is a club special. It’s in a plastic cup! I feel like I could head to the country club with this cocktail. Packard’s does a GREAT club special and it’s even better that you can enjoy it on a rooftop patio! Pump the Breaks at The Jones Assembly: I was so skeptical about this drink, but I got a sip of it before I ordered the full thing. It’s a winter cocktail that has pumpkin pure, but is still citrusy and cinnamony. I don’t know how they do it, but it was an excellent choice! Like what you see?
