Capitals Ice Cream: The newest ice cream shop in Midtown is like no other dessert shop around! You pick your ice cream and the add-ons they blend in it to produce this delicious froyo-like ice cream in a cup or cone. Pictured above is the Mesta Park, and I can’t recommend it more! This place is the talk of the town right now, and for good reason! I can’t wait to go back and try another flavor. Their specials are REALLY good, so I would recommend trying their creations before making your own.
The Hall’s Pizza Kitchen Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie: You’ll notice a theme in this post: caramel. I would eat caramel on bark if I had to. Luckily, the Hall’s caramel chocolate chip cookie is waaaay tastier than bark. This treat is a fun spin on the regular chocolate chip cookie and every one that I’ve had has been cooked perfectly! A caramel chocolate chip cookie is a nice little ending to a delicious meal of pizza.
The Hall’s Pizza Kitchen Strawberry Shortcake: If you want a summertime dessert, this is it!! The strawberry shortcake at Hall’s isn’t your traditional strawberry shortcake. This one has lemon curd along with the strawberries and creamy ice cream to go with the shortcake. I think the tart lemon balances the cream so well. It’s a pretty good size, so definitely plan to share this one!
The Hall’s Pizza Kitchen Birthday Cake: Yes, even if it’s not your birthday you can order a slice of birthday cake! Not only is it so cute and Instagrammable, but it’s really moist and easily shared among a few friends. When it comes to cake, I normally prefer chocolate on chocolate. But, this cake is so sugary sweet and tasty for a vanilla cake. Plus, sprinkles!! The icing is enough to sell me on this one.
Pie Junkie Drunken Turtle: I’m truly not exaggerating when I say that this is the richest pie I’ve ever had in my life. It’s a chocolate and caramel DREAM. That glaze on the top is caramel. It’s the best pie I’ve had from Pie Junkie, hands down! It’s pretty moist and so, so rich. Anytime you get a chance to go to Pie Junkie, get this one!!!
Roxy’s Ice Cream Caramel Ice Cream: I’ve had a few different kinds of ice cream at Roxy’s but the caramel is hands down the best. It’s rich, creamy and not an easily replicated flavor. It’s so unique, which is why I love it. The cookies and cream is good too, but I would still choose the caramel.
Insomnia Cookies: Although Insomnia is a chain, they still do some really delicious and GOOEY cookies. (Mom has a theory that they’re all just from a Tollhouse tub.) If I’m in the mood for just a nice, fresh-out-of-the-oven cookie, Insomnia is the place! Plus, they’re convenient to grab if you need a dessert to take to a party with friends. My favorite are the peanut butter and the chocolate chip!
Kitchen 324 Chocolate Chip Cookie: Be warned: These cookies are pretty big, but their size doesn’t ruin their taste. Sometimes big cookies are over-cooked. Not 324’s! They use a darker chocolate, so it’s not a sugary sweet cookie. It’s more on the mild side, which is what I like since it’s so huge.
