Capitals Ice Cream: What I love about this ice cream is that it’s a froyo consistency. You can order their specialty cones (which are so creative and yummy) or you can make your own concoction with cereals or fruits of your choosing. This is an easy dessert place to hit when you are with a group of people. Everyone will find something they like! Pictured above is the Mesta Park.
The Hall’s Pizza Kitchen strawberry shortcake: If you like strawberry shortcake and lemon, you’ll love the Hall’s version of strawberry shortcake! This scrumptious and ever so slightly tart dessert is the perfect ending to a piece of pizza. The ice cream is perfectly creamy, so that works well with the lemon and strawberry. The shortcake is like a shortbread cookie–yum!!
The Hall’s Pizza Kitchen caramel chocolate chip cookie: If you know me, you know that I will eat bark if caramel is on it. Hall’s does an extremely delicious and moist caramel chocolate chip cookie. It’s perfect if you want something simple with a little kick. I can’t say enough good things!
Roxy’s Ice Cream caramel ice cream: (See point above about caramel) This is the only caramel ice cream I’ve ever had and I would dare say that it would still be hard for any other caramel ice cream to beat it. It’s so rich, which is what I love the most about it. It’s so flavorful and the perfect harder ice cream consistency so it doesn’t melt too fast. Caramel is my go-to at Roxy’s every time, so try it next time you’re there!
Pie Junkie drunken turtle pie: All pies at Pie Junkie are good, but there’s one certain pie that takes the … pie? The drunken turtle is so rich and creamy that it shouldn’t be allowed. It’s a chocolate and, you guessed it, caramel pie. It’s just flavor on steroids and I haven’t ever gotten myself to order a full slice of another piece at Pie Junkie. Who needs to when you can order the drunken turtle?
The Hall’s Pizza Kitchen birthday cake: There’s one word to describe this cake: moist! Not only is it super fun with all the colorful sprinkles, but it’s a really good vanilla cake and icing. If it’s your birthday, head to Hall’s to celebrate with their birthday cake! Be warned: it’s only offered at certain times, so call and make sure they have it before you go.
Kitchen 324 chocolate chip cookie: These chocolate chip babies are pretty huge, but they aren’t cooked all the way through so that they’re hard. They still have some give to them and aren’t as sweet as other chocolate chip cookies. I think they may use dark chocolate or just really semi-sweet chocolate. Whatever they’re doing, it’s working!
Insomnia Cookies: My mom has a theory that all their cookies are just from a Toll House tub, and I think she’s on to something, but I don’t care. The goodness of Insomnia Cookies is that they’re never quite cooked all the way through and thus they’re a little messy. I love the chocolate chip and the peanut butter cookies the best. This is a great place to go if you want to bring a really good dessert to a party, but you need something quick and not from a grocery store.
