Listening: This month I made a playlist of the best of my favorite songs. These are the songs that I just feel in my heart. Do you have any songs that you just love on a whole other level? These are mine. Needless to say, I’ve been loving it! Songs in particular are Dancing Queen by ABBA (not sorry), Somebody by Bryan Adams, Believer by Imagine Dragons, Work by Jimmy Eat World and That’s Life by Frank Sinatra. Worship songs Fierce by Jesus Culture, Gracefully Broken by Matt Redman (OMG), Reckless Love by Cory Asbury and The Lord Our God by Passion are speaking to me right now. Check out the whole playlist on Spotify below!
Watching: Late last month I started watching 90210, and I’ve been obsessed since! I just started season 4 and am not surprised that I ended up loving it. It’s pretty crazy and out-there, like One Tree Hill, which I think is why I like it. It definitely has similar storylines to One Tree Hill (boy auction, moms named Deb, hostages, girls turned pop stars and high school weddings), but it doesn’t take as long to develop as OTH.
Wearing: I am loving these button down shirts from H&M! They fit so perfectly oversized and can go from leather leggings to work appropriate so easily. I did a little post on them, which you can read here! The leather leggings are a crowd favorite, so I hope you enjoyed seeing them again. This Breton top has been in heavy rotation. It is perfect! I would love to get one that’s super oversized for lounging.
Shopping: Check out some of my favorite pieces I’ve shopped this early spring! These jeans are going to be well-loved this spring. They’re giving me 90s vibes, which is one of my favorite decades for preppy fashion. I like this top for work in the warmer months, but it can easily be dressed up for a nicer occasion. Lou & Grey has caught my eye this month. I think I will definitely start shopping their online store more often. I am obsessed with this sweater (with white jeans *heart eyes*) and this striped top!
Reading: I finished two books this month–one review is here! I read “Still Me” by Jojo Moyes and “The Light We Lost” by Jill Santopolo. The latter was rather different, and I liked aspects of it. The characters were a little frustrating, but aren’t all humans frustrating? The ending kind of killed me because it was a huge climax that fell a little flat and then the book ended.

Believing: I feel like God is working at my heart from all angles right now. I’ve shared a lot about a sermon I heard this month from the pastor at my family’s church. You can listen to it here and read more about why it hit home with me in this post! The worship songs listed above in Listening aren’t just good songs, but they’re songs that have lyrics that are speaking to me right now. Even my nightly quiet time (woohoo one year of the Bible!) I feel God working on my heart. I am so impatient, but I think He’s using this characteristic to multiply my faith in Him. I’m praying for a patient, trusting spirit as well as a bold spirit. Lord, hear my prayers!!
Splurging: I had been pining over these perfect Salvatore Ferragamo ballet pumps for several years. They are works of art in shoe form! Not only that, they fit in my lifestyle well. They are professional enough for work and fun enough for casual wear. I love the low heel and own several pairs of ballet pumps already, so it wasn’t a gamble if I would like the heel. I saved for several months and bit the bullet a few weeks ago and purchased the nude color–perfect for spring and the most versatile color for me right now. They smell like leather, and it’s a really strong smell. I love it because I love that smell and it shows the quality of the shoes! The thing that amazed me the most about these shoes is how they didn’t have a break-in period. The first time I wore them was out shopping with Katie and I never needed to change shoes. I’ve worn them several times since and never have had hurt feet or blisters. I can say that more pairs of Ferragamos are in my future!
