This outfit is one of my favorites I’ve ever shared with you all because it’s not only warm, but it’s easily recreated. Hopefully you can get some inspiration from this because it’s an outfit that many of you probably have in your closet. I wear a variation of this outfit at least once a week because I can switch up the sweater and vest combo. It’s honestly foolproof and pays homage to my love of classic New England preppy style. With it being so cold lately in OKC, I like to pair a thick sweater with a down vest and pray that the temperature rises to at least 50 degrees!
Is anyone else feeling a winter slump coming? After Christmas, winter loses a little bit of its magic, if you ask me. The decorations come down and everything gets a little less delightful. Motivation to tackle to-do lists declines rapidly and the next thing to look forward to, the turn of the season into March and a warm escape over spring break, feels forever away. However this year, I’ve decided to not waste the rest of winter by wishing for motivation brought on by warmth. I’ve got a list of things I want to accomplish, starting with my blog! I’ll get to that in a second, but I want to share a few things I am planning on tackling before the weather gets warmer.
Along with blog planning for 2018, I’m hoping to decorate my apartment a little bit more so it becomes even more homey. I want to put things on the walls, add some lighting and de-clutter. All through college, I got used to living in temporary spaces so I didn’t decorate as much as I wanted. Now, I don’t have plans to move any time soon, but my apartment still feels like it’s decorated as a temporary place. I’ve got some ideas, but it’s time to bite the bullet and get it done. Let the decorating begin!
I’m also hoping to get a little bit more settled in work/life balance. After the job change a few weeks ago, I have been really concerned with making sure I am getting enough quiet time where I can just zone out for a bit and recharge. Now, I’m ready to explore more restaurants near my office at lunch, get a library card so I can read more (yay resolutions!) and get to know my co-workers more.
Today, I want your help as I look into blog planning for 2018. I’ve got some fun things on the horizon, but I want to make sure I’m heading in the right direction before any major changes occur. That’s why I want to ask you a few questions about what you like to read. I know what I want to write about, but I want to make sure that we’re on the same page. Take a few minutes and give me some feedback. I would appreciate it more than you know! As always, DM me on Instagram any ideas or questions.
